WHERE TO GO FOR A BEACH VACATION DURING HURRICANE SEASON

We have had a very favorable year so far with no major hurricanes disrupting people’s vacations. Planning a holiday to the Caribbean before November can be a gamble, although the islands of Aruba and Curacao are not usually bothered by hurricanes.
However, to avoid the problem altogether you have the excellent option of heading to Hawaii for your choice of beautiful beaches, golf courses, and water activities. With distinctive features and a unique ambiance on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island, you can select from one or more islands according to your tastes and length of stay.
In order to have time for sightseeing, you would probably not want to stay less than four nights on each island. Although the flight times between the islands are short, you have to acclimate yourself to a new hotel and surroundings each time you change islands. If you are driving, a GPS can be a real timesaver even when you think you know where you are going.
Hawaii does not operate on daylight savings time in the summer, like most of the mainland, so it can be a real surprise to reserve a wonderful table for dinner in order to watch the sunset at 7:00 pm only to discover that sunset was at 6:40 pm.
Golfers, who are early risers, will find a time zone here that works well for an early tee time and beautiful weather as well.
If you want to live like a local, you can pull off the road and find your own private beach. When you bring your food and set up a little tent on the beach for your things, you can enjoy your own slice of heaven from sunrise to sunset. It is a very appealing lifestyle, and many people take advantage of it.
Probably the most delightful benefit for those of us who are not accustomed to more than 2 consecutive days of good weather is walking out every morning for a week and having the most gorgeous warm days without a lot of humidity to spoil them. It is enough to make you want to move to Hawaii!
